How the JPG to PDF conversion works
Filembly places your photo on an A4 page, centred inside a small margin. Portrait photos get a portrait page and landscape photos a landscape one, so the image fills the page without being squashed. Images are scaled down to fit when needed but never enlarged, so they don't turn blurry.
The photo's compressed image data goes into the PDF as it is, so there is no extra quality loss. Camera metadata — including GPS location — is removed first. If your phone saved the photo with a rotation flag, the picture is turned upright so it doesn't appear sideways in the PDF.

Limitations to know about
- One JPG becomes one PDF page. To combine several photos into a single PDF, use the Image to PDF tool, which also lets you set the order and page orientation.
- Each file can be up to 4 MB. Most phone photos fit; very large camera images may need compressing first.
- The PDF contains the photo as an image, so its text can't be selected or searched. OCR is not currently supported.
- iPhone HEIC photos are not supported yet — export or convert them to JPG first.
Privacy and security
Your file is uploaded over HTTPS, converted entirely in memory and streamed straight back to your browser. It is never written to disk, never logged and never retained after the conversion — there is nothing to delete because nothing is stored. How do I convert several JPGs into one PDF?

Will converting reduce my photo's quality?
No. The JPG's image data is placed in the PDF without being compressed again. The only exception is a photo saved with a rotation flag, which is re-encoded once at high quality so it can be turned upright.
What page size is the PDF?
A4, with the orientation matched to your photo: portrait photos get a portrait page and landscape photos a landscape page. The photo is centred with a small margin.
Is my photo stored or shared?
No. The photo is converted in memory and the PDF is streamed straight back to you. Nothing is written to disk or kept afterwards, and camera metadata such as GPS location is removed from the image before it goes into the PDF.
