Convert Images to PDF
Turn one photo or a whole set into a single PDF. Upload your JPG, PNG or WebP images, arrange them in order, and download one document containing them all.
This is the usual answer when something has to be submitted as a PDF but you only have photos — receipts for an expense claim, photographed ID documents, or pictures of a signed form taken on a phone.
How it works
Each image becomes one A4 page. Filembly scales the image to fit inside the page margins while preserving its aspect ratio, and never enlarges past its native size — upscaling would only add blur.
With orientation set to Match each image, wide photos get landscape pages and tall ones portrait, so nothing is wasted or letterboxed. You can force portrait or landscape throughout if you would rather every page matched.
JPEGs are embedded as they are, so no quality is lost. PNGs keep their transparency, and WebP images are converted losslessly into an embeddable form first, since the PDF format itself has no native WebP support.
How to create pdf
- Upload your images — drag several in at once, or add them one at a time.
- Arrange them with the arrows so the pages come out in the right order.
- Choose a page orientation, or leave it on Match each image.
- Click Create PDF and download the document.
Limitations to know about
- Pages are A4. Custom page sizes and margins are not currently configurable.
- Up to 30 images per PDF, and everything together must fit inside the request size limit shown on the upload area.
- There is no OCR — the text in a photograph stays part of the picture and will not be searchable or selectable in the PDF.
Privacy and security
Your files are uploaded over HTTPS, processed entirely in memory and streamed straight back to your browser. They are never written to disk, never logged and never retained after the response — there is nothing to delete because nothing is stored. Frequently asked questions
Can I combine several images into one PDF?
Yes, that is the normal use. Upload as many images as you need, up to 30, and each becomes a page in a single PDF. Use the arrows to control the page order before you create it.
Will my photos lose quality?
JPEGs are embedded exactly as uploaded, with no re-compression. PNGs keep their transparency. The only change is scaling the image down if it is larger than an A4 page at print resolution, which does not visibly affect the result.
Can I convert a HEIC photo from my iPhone?
Not yet — HEIC is not currently supported. Your iPhone can help here: sharing a photo by email or setting Camera Formats to Most Compatible produces a JPG, which works.
Will the text in my photo be searchable?
No. Each image is placed into the PDF as a picture, so any text in it stays part of the image. Making it searchable requires OCR, which Filembly does not currently offer.
