Sign a PDF — Draw or Type Your Signature
Add your signature to a PDF in under a minute: draw it with your mouse or finger, or type your name in a handwriting style, then click where it belongs on the page. Move it, resize it, place it on as many pages as you need, and download the signed document.
Unlike e-signature platforms, this tool never sees your document. Contracts, leases and agreements are the most sensitive files people handle — here, the entire signing process runs inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.
How it works
Your PDF's pages are rendered right in the browser so you can see exactly where the signature will sit. The signature you draw or type becomes a transparent image, and when you hit Sign, the document itself is edited on your device — the signature image is stamped into the PDF's real content at the exact position and size you chose, not pasted over a screenshot.
The output is a standard PDF that opens everywhere, with your signature a permanent part of the page. Because nothing round-trips through a server, a 20-page contract signs in about a second.
How to sign pdf
- Upload the PDF you need to sign — it stays on your device.
- Draw your signature, or type your name and pick a handwriting style.
- Click the spot on the page where the signature belongs; drag to fine-tune, pull the corner to resize. Repeat on any page.
- Click Sign & download PDF.
Limitations to know about
- This creates a simple electronic signature — a signature image placed on the document. It does not add a cryptographic digital certificate or an audit trail, which some institutions require.
- Password-protected PDFs need their protection removed before signing.
- Signing supports documents up to 50 pages and 50 MB — enough for virtually any contract.
Privacy and security
Your file is uploaded over HTTPS, converted entirely in memory and streamed straight back to your browser. It is never written to disk, never logged and never retained after the conversion — there is nothing to delete because nothing is stored. Files are validated by extension, type and content signature, and uploads are never executed. Read more in our privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded when I sign it?
No. The pages are displayed, the signature is created, and the final PDF is assembled entirely inside your browser using on-device processing. Your contract never touches our servers — there is nothing for us to store, read or leak.
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
In many jurisdictions (including under the U.S. ESIGN Act and the EU's eIDAS regulation) simple electronic signatures are legally effective for most everyday agreements — leases, offers, consent forms. Some documents and institutions require certified digital signatures or notarization; when in doubt, check what the receiving party accepts.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes — drawing with your finger works well on touch screens, and the typed-signature option gives a clean result on any device. Placement, resizing and download all work on mobile.
Can I place my signature on several pages?
Yes. Create the signature once, then click each spot where it belongs — initials on every page, full signature on the last. Each placement can be moved and resized independently.
